2007 York River Cup

The annual York River Cup will be held Saturday, 16 June 2007. This is YRYC’s flagship racing event, and this year all proceeds will benefit the Watermen’s Museum in Yorktown, VA. The race takes place near the mouth of the York River, with the skipper’s meeting at the York River Yacht Club’s clubroom starting at 1000 and the post-race party and dinner taking place at the Watermen’s Museum itself.

This is CBYRA sanctioned race #413 and the race classes are PHR F A/B, PHRF C, PHRF Non-Spinnaker, and Cruising. We strongly encourage all cruising sailors to make a weekend of it and participate in the Cruising fleet. There are slips available at York River Yacht Haven, Yorktown Riverwalk, Yorktown mooring balls, and anchoring available in Sarah’s Creek. The entry fee is $50 for USSA members and $55 for all others. The Notice of Race, Sailing Instructions, entry form and announcement flyer are attached below. Entries will be accepted until the conclusion of the skippers meeting on race day, and can be mailed in advance to Dan Fox (YRYC Race Captain), 93 Holly Grove, Williamsburg VA 23815. Please contact Dan at 757-561-3636, or use the “email me” link at left, with any questions or comments.
