2022 Blessing of the Fleet

One of our favorite annual events! The 2022 Blessing of the Fleet will take place Saturday, April 30 (rain date is May 1). The fun starts at 9:00am with danish, donuts and coffee at the York River Yacht Haven activities room. Here is where you will get information about the parade and line-up.
The day’s events are set to include:
- 9:00am: Coffee, donuts and danish will be available starting at 9:00am. Here is where you get parade details and get information about where you are in the line-up. Last minute sign-ups are welcome too!
- 10:00am: We will begin to head out and take our places in the water.
- 11:00am: Each boat will cruise by B Dock for bagpipes and their blessing.
- 12:30pm or so: A picnic lunch will immediately follow the boat parade.
- 2:00pm, the traditional sock burning (to welcome spring) will take place under the magnolia tree

YRYC members will receive a sign up link through a club email. YRYH slipholders will receive event information from the marina. Everyone is welcome to participate! Please note that an RSVP will be needed to guarantee a lunch.
