The club had a good turnout for the Commodore’s weekly Friday night cocktail party.  18 members enjoyed the pleasant cocktail hour(s) on the upper deck above the pool.  The view can’t be beat!

On Saturday, the club hosted the Old Point Comfort Yacht Club who were visiting YRYH for the weekend.  As usual, Lin Gendell provided a veritable feast of food, fun drinks and fancy decorations for the party.  Thanks Lin!! Approximately 8-10 boats from OPCYC made the trip to the marina plus 1 or 2 others who came by car.  There were about 50 people in total from both clubs as well as a few prospective members from YRYH.   The weather was wonderful for the late afternoon/evening get together.  Cocktails began at 5, with members from both clubs providing tasty appetizers.  A cookout followed, with burgers and hotdogs from the grill, and side dishes to go along.  It was a very enjoyable evening.

On Sunday GT, June and Joran, Lin went out on their boats and anchored in Chisman creek for the night. They braved the weather but had a good time. Even though the Yorktown fire works were canceled, we had plenty of local ones to keep us entertained.
