Boats gathered to contest The Cup on a beautiful Fall day with winds NE 10-13, temps in the mid 70s and clear skies. RESULTS: Spinnaker Fleet: 1. Rumble - Ben Weeks/Michele Cochran; 2. Read MoreThe 2010 York River Cup is scheduled for Saturday September 18th with a 12:30 PM rendezvous in the vicinity of York River R"22". This CBYRA sanctioned regatta has two planned races. Entries are due by September 16th. A post regatta social is planned for 1700 with dinner following at 1800. Complete details can be found in the sailing instructions.

Read MoreFrom Southern Bay Racing News You Can Use (SBRNYCU) #503: ADMIRAL'S CUP goes to RUMBLE - Ben Weeks and the crew of Rumble persevered in light air for 11 very loooooooooong miles on Saturday to win the annual Admiral's Cup, co-hosted by York River Yacht Club and Seaford Yacht Club. The dearth of air did not deter the racers from the party hosted by Seaford Yacht Club. Results: Spinnaker (4 boats): 1.Ben Weeks & Michele Cochran, Rumble; 2.Jim Bordeaux, Soltice. Non-Spin (5 boats): 1.Chuck Eldred, Gail Force; 2.Dave Crossett, Gator. Congratulations!

A number of new components to the races and procedures have been added so check out the web site accessible here for detailed information. Nearly 60 boats are already entered for the "3 days of great racing and 4 nights of great parties" as the billing on the website says. Our own 2010 YRYC Race Co-Captains Ben & Michele have already entered Rumble into the event.
