The York River Yacht Club encourages everyone to have their boats inspected once a year by the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Not only does this reduce the chances of time consuming Coast Guard boardings while on a cruise or at a race but is the best way to make sure that you have not forgotten to re-equip the boat with its required safety equipment each Spring. The annual business meeting of the YRYC took place on November 19'th at the club's Crown Pointe location. The meeting was well attended and I would like to thank Jane Smith and the crew for an excellent job putting everything together! The big news of the night was the election of officers for 2012 and the vote on the club's new dues structure.
