2022 Blessing of the Fleet and Sock Burning


One of our favorite annual events!
The 2022 Blessing of the Fleet will take place Saturday, April 30 (rain date is May 1).
The fun starts at 9:00am with danish, donuts and coffee at the York River Yacht Haven activities room. Here is where you will get information about the parade and line-up. The day’s events are set to include:
- Around 10am, we will begin to head out and take our places in the water.
- By 11am, we will begin the boat parade and each boat will cruise by B Dock for bagpipes and their blessing.
- A picnic lunch will immediately follow the parade.
- 2pm, the traditional sock burning (to welcome spring) will take place under the magnolia tree
YRYC members will receive a sign up link through a club email.
YRYH slipholders will receive event information from the marina. Everyone is welcome to participate!
