One of our favorite annual events!  The 2021 Blessing of the Fleet will take place Saturday, May 8 (weather permitting).  The fun starts at 9:00am with danish, donuts and coffee at the York River Yacht Haven activities room.  Here is where you will get information about the parade and line-up.   

The day’s events are set to include:

• Around 10am or so, we will head out to the water and take our places in the water. 
• By 11am. each boat will cruise by B Dock for bagpipes and their blessing. 
• A picnic lunch will immediately follow the parade.
• 2pm, the traditional sock burning (to welcome spring) will take place under the magnolia tree

YRYC members will receive a sign up link through a club email.   YRYH slipholders will receive event information from the marina.  Everyone is welcome to participate!  Please note that an RSVP will be needed to guarantee a lunch.  We do not post our sign up links due to spammers and scammers.  But if you are interested in this event, you may email the club’s rear commodores at events at yryc dot com.

Please note that COVID safety protocols will be in place.  Hand sanitizer will be readily available. Masks are encouraged inside while not eating or drinking.  Social distancing will be in place as well.
