Members of York River Yacht Club kicked off the unofficial start of Summer with our annual Memorial Day Weekend raft-up trip to Mobjack Bay’s East River with 10 member boats.

Saturday morning was sunny and beautiful.  Not a lot of wind on the way up but it was a lovely trip never the less.  Always a popular spot for raft-ups, we found a lovely spot between Put-In and Woodas Creeks.  As the boats began to assemble, the festivities began.     

Sunday was Fun Day with more great weather, food, company and water sports.

Monday came too soon and it was time to head home.  And we had another gorgeous day with a wonderful sail home.  What a way to say “welcome Summer!”.
