Labor Day Fun and Fellowship
What a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
Friday night started off with a special party hosted by members Kevin and Hope to welcome their cruising friends from the Texas Association of Social Sailors from Houston, who would be cruising with us to Cape Charles for the weekend. We were treated to a catered dinner by Chef K and live music.
Saturday we sailed across the Chesapeake Bay to one of our favorite destinations, Cape Charles. Not much wind, but the skies were blue and water was calm. Between YRYC and TASS, we had 15 boats and about 40 boaters!
Saturday evening meant our “docktail party” with Cruise Captain John’s BBQ and exchanging of our clubs’ burgees.
Sunday was another beautiful day, with everyone spending time at the beach, the shops, the local museum, the Cape Charles Brewery, and of course, Brown Dog Ice Cream.
Monday seemed to come too soon and we said goodbye to our new friends from TASS and invited them to come back and see us again soon.
