Please join the club for a “land cruise”  AMTRAK trip to Alexandria/Washington DC. Bring a cooler, snacks and beverages to have Commodore’s Cocktail Hour on the train! If you are local to DC, please join us for this club event. Members who live further west of Richmond, there are also trains that run from Lynchburg/Charlottesville. Cruise Captain Mark will try to arrange one train car where we can all be together starting in Williamsburg.

Train

Attendees will purchase their own train tickets www.amtrak.com, hotel accommodations and potential ground transportation based on group interest.

PACKAGE Rate: $155/night, includes breakfast and managers happy hour 5:30 to 7 PM. There are other hotels if you prefer, but this is right off the AMTRAK train station and Metro station in Alexandria. If you are driving, be aware parking is expensive – estimate $30-$35/ day.

On the Town

Old Town Alexandria is a historical part of town, full of great restaurants and pubs for the evening which can be easily accessed on the free trolly or bus line. Weekend Metropass is roughly $15 per person which covers metro and bus lines anywhere in the DC area.

Cruise Captain Mark will try to pre arrange in-town travel if we have a group large enough to do so, like going to Mount Vernon. To indicate your interest in various about-the-town activities, let him know what you are interested in by completing his Google survey form, which will be emailed to club members.
